Gum Hole Campground
WARRABAH NATIONAL PARK
Rocky outcrops rise above the Namoi River
Beautiful rural countryside transports you to the gorgeous wilderness of Warrabah National Park. Take a moment to take a breath and drink in the vastness of the landscape before you.
Close your eyes and listen to the symphony of bird song which surrounds you from sunrise to sunset. Cool off after your morning hike in the Namoi River where clean flowing water continues to shape the massive slabs of granite which lines its banks and it depths.
Enjoy breakfast with white-plumed honeyeaters and dusky woodswallows, hear the crackling call of beautiful dollarbirds throughout the day, watch a stunning crested shrike-tit pulling chunks of bark from an old gum overhanging the river, and prepare a campfire as local gangs of sulphur-crested cockatoos raucously gather to settle in for the evening.
As the sun sets above you, take a moment to sit back, relax and appreciate the tranquility of this place under cotton-candy skies. When the day is done, drift off to sleep under a million bright stars of the milky way while the river babbles nearby.
